Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 May 2026 · Effective: 28 May 2026
By installing the Essence Extractor Chrome extension or using the related cloud service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please uninstall the extension and don't use the Service.

1. Who we are

Essence Extractor (the "Service") is operated by Maxim Zhuravlev (IP Журавлев Максим Юрьевич), a sole proprietor registered in Saint Petersburg, Russia. ОГРНИП 321784700381292, ИНН 780539366990. Trading as VibeCodium.

2. What the Service does

The Service is a Chrome browser extension that reads the conversation visible in your active AI chat tab (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Qwen, DeepSeek) and produces a structured one-page "decision brief" with four sections: goal, next action, key insights, and obstacles. Analysis is performed by third-party AI providers via our cloud backend.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Account-free model

We don't require you to create an account, provide an email, or log in. The Service uses an anonymous device identifier generated by the extension to enforce usage limits and to associate a Pro subscription with your install.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

We may suspend or terminate access for any violation, without refund.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the conversations you submit and to the briefs the Service generates from them. By using the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to transmit your conversation through our infrastructure to the AI provider for the few seconds needed to produce a brief, and to return the brief to your browser. We do not log, store, train on, or otherwise retain your conversations or the briefs produced from them — see our Privacy Policy for details.

7. AI-generated content disclaimer

Briefs are produced by large language models (Claude Opus 4.7 and fallbacks). They can contain mistakes, hallucinations, omissions, and outdated information. You are responsible for verifying any output before acting on it. Do not rely on a brief alone for medical, legal, financial, or other consequential decisions.

8. Pricing and subscription

8.1 Free tier

The Service is free for limited use: 5 analyses per 7-day rolling window, using only the Universal preset. No payment information required.

8.2 Pro subscription

Pro is US$ 8.99 per calendar month, billed by Lemon Squeezy in advance. It includes:

New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged during the trial period and may cancel at any time before its end with no charge. If you don't cancel, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid month at the price above on the day the trial ends.

Subsequent renewals occur monthly on the same calendar day as the original conversion until you cancel. Prices may change with 30 days' notice; the new price applies only to subsequent renewals.

8.3 Telegram pay-as-you-go packs

For occasional use without a subscription, you can buy analysis packs through our Telegram bot:

Packs do not expire and accumulate on your Telegram account.

9. Cancellation

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the Lemon Squeezy customer portal (linked from your subscription confirmation email). Cancellation stops future renewals — your existing Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

10. Refunds

Refund terms are set out in our separate Refund Policy. In short: 14-day no-questions refund on the first monthly Pro charge; Telegram packs are not refundable once used.

11. Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, attempt to bypass usage limits, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would expose us to legal risk. We will refund any unused subscription period unless the termination is for serious cause (such as the violations listed in Section 5).

12. Service availability

We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Service running, but we do not promise uptime or freedom from bugs. The Service depends on third-party AI providers; if all of our providers are unavailable, the Service will be too. We may take it down for maintenance with reasonable notice.

13. Third-party services

The Service runs on infrastructure operated by third parties (Cloudflare, kie.ai, Anthropic, Google, Lemon Squeezy, YooKassa, Telegram). Their availability and policies are outside our control. See our Privacy Policy for the complete list and what each receives.

14. Intellectual property

The Service, including the extension code, server code, "Essence Extractor" name, crystal logo, and our methodology documentation, is owned by us or licensed to us. The extension's source code is provided under the licence stated in our public repository; the cloud backend and brand assets are not open-source. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works of the brand assets or the closed-source backend.

15. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the briefs produced by the Service are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we, our owners, officers, employees, or contractors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$ 50.

17. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify us against any claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third-party right.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service will be brought before the competent courts of Saint Petersburg, Russia. Consumers in the EU, UK, and other jurisdictions retain any rights they cannot lawfully waive.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance through the extension or at the email associated with your Pro subscription. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
